Final Plans 2025/26
January 2025 UPDATE
For the eventual Scotland West Coast Trip - replace Chart Plotter/GPS/Radar/VHF with latest technology and A.I.S. (electronic charts/parts no longer available for now redundant Raymarine kit) - WIP
Rent out the apartment to get an income from it to cover its ongoing costs and hopefully more. - WIP
Sail off for a couple of years. taking our time to enjoy it all and get back home safely. We had been concentrating on our 9 week South Coast Summer Cruise throughout 2024 and have been pondering the future for 2025 onward - Now getting the urge to get on with everything for this year after a difficult start to the year - and there is a lot to do and sort out as we could relocate for the autumn/winter to the south coast if everything falls into place, and move on from there in the spring of 2026 - at last!!! An exciting prospect but very complicated.
Health, and other matters permitting, decide on the final Phase. We have now loosely agreed that we have a maximum of 5 years active sailing left in us with Pantaleon, so the clock is ticking.....
We now have to get plans for this year(2025) completed, implemented and get on with it. 😎
Late May 2025 UPDATE
We had to make the very difficult decision back at the end of March 25, that as a result of the numerous things we were going to have to deal with this year, it would have been too difficult to fit everything in and get some meaningful use of the boat. We are managing to do many things on board whilst ashore at our convenience and without the usual pressures pre-season to cram everything in by the launch date. Its been very therapeutic - so far.
August 2025 Update - Pantaleon is still ashore and we have only loose plans for next year. We are steadily getting through many jobs on Pantaleon whilst ashore though and just leaving the essentials for winter/spring 2026. We will have to make commitments shortly and spend time planning routes, stop-offs, safe havens, etc. etc. We will not be going anywhere this year but hopefully April/May 2026 will see us on the water again.
